Urban Forestry Advocate Need in Clackamas County

Audubon Society of Portland Conservation staff needs a volunteer to help advocate for effective urban forestry policies and programs in Clackamas County. The volunteer will work with Jim Labbe, Urban Conservationist, in representing Audubon Society on an upcoming Clackamas County Tree Task Force. Volunteer must commit for at least one-year and be willing to attend public meetings, track policy development and issues important to urban wildlife and habitat conservation. This is an opportunity to practice your public speaking, learn about local land-use and natural resources planning, develop an expertise in urban forestry, and help advance Audubon’s mission of fostering a region where people and wildlife flourish togther. Contact Jim Labbe, jlabbe@urbanfauna.org, 971-222-6112.
