Please join us for a screening of the new documentary from Green Fire Productions, Common Ground Part 2: Oregon Ocean Legacy, followed by a presentation of the conservation community’s proposal for marine reserves and protected areas.

Common Ground Part 2 is the follow-up program to Green
Fire Productions’ Common Ground: Oregon’s Ocean and
focuses its lens on the rich, diverse marine ecosystems
of Oregon. The film features stunning views of Oregon’s underwater wildlife and habitats, and audiences hear from state policy makers, local elected officials, marine scientists,
and fishermen on the need for a network of marine reserves and protected areas in Oregon’s coastal waters.
Ben Enticknap, Project Manager for Oceana (an international group dedicated to protecting and restoring the world’s oceans), will present the final proposal from the conservation community identifying the sites along Oregon’s coast that are worthy of protecting for wildlife, bird, and habitat diversity.
