While land-based wildlife throughout the Pacific Northwest provides much of Vernon’s subject matter, he also has an affinity for marine life, garnered through his experience at sea as a maritime engineer. Most recently he photographed Great White Sharks off Guadalupe Island Mexico. His travels have taken him to Attu Island at the end of the Aleutian Chain, The Bering Sea, Prince William Sound, Southeast Alaska, Mexico, as well as throughout Oregon and Washington. Stop by the Interpretive Center to enjoy the striking and original images produced by this Portland artist.
