Half-Day Field Trips to Local Nature Preserves

Portland is home to many of the most incredible natural wildlife areas to be found in any urban setting in the country! These "greenspaces" are valuable habitat for wildlife surviving amidst the pressures of city life and urban growth. Students will study wetlands, grasslands, forests or streams as they focus on plants, animals, and the vital role each plays in its ecosystem. We can help you choose exciting, accessible areas to explore, including:
